1. Who We Are

CreditWipe ("we", "us") provides self-help software that analyzes consumer credit reports and prepares dispute letters, security-freeze/opt-out requests, FTC identity-theft documents, and CFPB complaint narratives. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information across our website and mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

Account data (name, email, password hash or Google profile). Credit-report content you upload or paste (which may include account numbers, balances, addresses, phone numbers, employers, and the last four digits of your SSN). Usage data (pages viewed, actions taken). Payment metadata processed by Stripe — we never store your full card number.

3. How We Use Your Information

To analyze your report, detect FCRA/FDCPA violations, generate your documents, operate your account, process subscriptions, provide support, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI Processing

Report text you submit is sent to our AI provider solely to generate your analysis and letters. It is not used to train third-party models. We transmit only what is necessary to produce your results.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with service providers that operate the app (cloud hosting, database, Stripe for payments, our AI provider, and — if enabled — an email provider), each bound to protect it. We disclose information if required by law. We do not sell data to advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and least-privilege handling of sensitive fields. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard measures.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated reports at any time by emailing support@creditwipe.org; we will delete it except where retention is legally required.

8. Your Rights (CCPA/GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@creditwipe.org. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Children

The service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
